Actor, Content Creator, Beauty Influencer, Fashion model, Fitness Enthusiast, there are so many more titles like this that this young lady holds under her belt and she is only moving forward to add more to that list. With one million followers on Instagram and featuring on the cover of the magazine Liepsna, there is no stopping her growing star power. Her name is Kherrington Briggs, and we are sure that everyone wants to know just how she does it, atleast we did when we got the chance to exclusively interview Miss Briggs. Being the force that she is on social media, naturally we were curious to know what inspired her to start sharing her beauty and fashion journey, to this she said “Honestly, it’s my way of combining everything I love—fashion, beauty, and healthy living—into one space. I’ve always admired people like Zendaya, Bella Hadid, and Kendall Jenner because they show how fashion can be both empowering and fun. Plus, I want to use my platform to talk about mental health and confidence because feeling good on the inside is just as important as looking good on the outside.”
Going through her feed, one would notice that besides from posts giving us a slice of her lifestyle, you don’t see her endorsing a lot of brands except for a few select favourites. When we asked how does she decide on which trends and products she features on her profile, she answered “I’m super picky because I only share things I truly love or use. For skincare, Ogee is my go-to—it keeps my skin glowing, which I think is the base for any great look. As for fashion, if it feels timeless yet bold, like Dior or Loewe, I’m all in. I also love mixing trends with pieces that have that edgy Balenciaga or Versace vibe.”
This was a super bold and quite honestly, a very refreshing take coming from Miss Kherrington. But her answer made it clear that she was willing to only stand behind brands that personally connects with and truly feels empowered by. So, that is when we asked her what is her approach to balance beauty with the message of self confidence, to this she said “For me, it’s all about starting with a strong foundation. I’m really into working out and eating healthy because when I feel good physically, it shows in my confidence. I also remind people that beauty isn’t about perfection; it’s about embracing what makes you unique and taking care of yourself.”
Hearing more from her, made us realise she is really a very self assured and confident person, which made us wonder what were the biggest influences that shaped her into the person that she was at the moment, to this she replied “Zendaya, for sure. She’s so versatile—she can go from streetwear to red-carpet glam and still look effortlessly herself. Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner inspire me too because they make high fashion feel relatable. And when it comes to brands, I’m obsessed with Dior and Loewe for their elegance, but also love how bold Versace and Balenciaga can be.”
Sometimes, it really feels like fashion influencers have really carved out an pedestal above others, so we wanted to know how Kherrington feels about getting feedback from her followers about her beauty choices “I try to take feedback as constructive. If someone has a different opinion, that’s okay—it’s all about perspective. At the end of the day, I focus on what makes me feel confident and happy because that’s the energy I want to share.” Though we can’t deny every frame of her is picture perfect, it doesn’t always capture the down to earth person that Kherrington is. When asked how does she stay authentic in a sphere which really demands perfection, she said “I focus on being real. Yes, I love high fashion and beauty, but I also talk about mental health and the importance of balance. Life isn’t perfect, and neither am I. Sharing my workouts or talking about struggles makes my content more relatable and honest.” Flashing cameras and bombarding mics could make you lose your balance and make you forget what matters, and thus we were quite amazed to see that when it came to her public image, Kherrington was clear about her priorities and what kind of message that she would like to put out to those who might be listening to her.
Trends can keep changing, but there must atleast one trend that we know each influencer can’t help but hold on tight to for dear life. And we know that Kherrington Briggs could not be any different on this point either. When we asked her what one beauty trend that she believes is here to stay, Kherrington was quick to say “Glowing, healthy skin. I think people are realizing how important skincare is, and brands like Ogee make it easy to get that natural, radiant look. It’s a trend, but it’s also just good self-care.” But there is also the need for influencers to keep re-inventing themselves and bring something new to the table each season to keep their followers invested in what they are selling. This leads to most influencers having to play catch up when there’s some new trend on the block. When asked how does she handle with the pressure to constantly keep on top of changing trends, she says that “I remind myself that I don’t have to follow every trend to be relevant. I pick trends that align with my style or message and skip the ones that don’t. It’s about staying true to myself, not chasing every new thing.”
It’s a real feat that she is on the top of her game at such a young age and influencing people all around the world who might half or even twice her age. But we know that the time when Kherrington was just the new kid in town wasn’t very far behind and she still remembers the time when she was an up and coming talent. When we asked what would be her message to other aspiring beauty influencers out there, she said “Be yourself and find your niche. Don’t try to copy what everyone else is doing because what makes you different is what will set you apart. Also, don’t forget to take care of yourself—inside and out. That’s what really shines through.”
Kherrington, for all that she has achieved, is still just getting started in the show business and we know that we will be hearing bigger and better things about her in the near future. So, we were naturally curious to hear from her what were her future aspirations when it came to the fashion industry, we found that there were no limits that were bounding her dreams “I want to walk for brands like Dior, Loewe, and Versace while also creating something of my own—maybe a skincare or fashion line that focuses on confidence and mental health. I want my brand to inspire others to feel beautiful, strong, and unapologetically themselves.” On that note, we wish Kherrington well and look forward to more from her.
