Diana Kimmay is not just a style influencer; she is a visionary entrepreneur, real estate investor, and creative powerhouse. With a background in marketing and a passion for fashion, she has built a brand that merges aesthetics with strategy, influence with impact. From blending her Vietnamese and French heritage into her work to navigating the competitive world of real estate, Diana’s journey is a testament to the power of adaptability, authenticity, and ambition.
Her story is not just about personal style but about business acumen, storytelling, and creating spaces—both digital and physical—that inspire. In this interview, Diana shares the experiences that shaped her career, the lessons she’s learned as an entrepreneur, and her vision for the future.
Diana’s love for fashion began long before she ever considered it a career. “I’ve always loved expressing myself through style for as long as I can remember,” she recalls. “But what really inspired me to turn it into a career was seeing how fashion and marketing could tell a story and create connections.” Unlike many influencers who focus solely on aesthetics, Diana was drawn to the strategic side of fashion—the way brands communicate their identity, the psychology of consumer behaviour, and the ability to shape trends through storytelling.
“When I started sharing my own style online, I saw how powerful that connection could be,” she says. “So many people would message me saying my content helped them feel more confident in their own skin or inspired them to try something new. That’s when I knew I wanted to pursue this not just to create, but to inspire and build a community.”
Diana’s ability to build a personal brand that resonates with people is rooted in her diverse cultural background. Born to Vietnamese and French parents, she grew up surrounded by two distinct yet equally rich traditions. “French fashion has taught me the beauty of effortless, classic style, while Vietnamese culture has instilled in me an appreciation for intricate details, craftsmanship, and vibrant colors,” she shares. “Whether it’s through styling, content creation, or storytelling, I aim to merge these influences.”
This unique perspective allows Diana to stand out in an oversaturated digital landscape. She doesn’t chase fleeting trends; instead, she curates a style that feels timeless yet modern, bold yet elegant. “I think of style as a language,” she explains. “Every piece you wear, every way you present yourself tells a story. The key is to make sure that story feels authentic to you.”
Beyond fashion, Diana has ventured into the world of real estate—a field not often associated with influencers. “People are always surprised when they hear I’m a real estate investor,” she laughs. “But for me, it makes perfect sense. I’ve always been fascinated by design, architecture, and creating spaces that evoke a feeling. Whether it’s fashion or interiors, it all comes down to storytelling and creating an experience.”
Her journey in real estate hasn’t been without its challenges. “As an investor, I’ve faced significant hurdles, particularly with construction delays and material shortages,” she reveals. “Ongoing supply chain disruptions and labor shortages have led to increased costs and project setbacks. Economic uncertainty and market volatility have made it harder to predict returns.”
So how does she navigate these obstacles? “Adaptability is key,” she says. “I’ve learned to diversify supplier networks to mitigate material shortages, leverage technology for better project management, and incorporate flexibility into budgets and timelines. Every challenge teaches you something new.”
Diana’s education at UC Davis played a crucial role in shaping her professional journey. “Attending a large university helped me develop strong communication skills—not just academically but also in everyday interactions,” she reflects. “Being in such a diverse and dynamic environment, I had to learn how to navigate different social settings, collaborate with people from various backgrounds, and communicate effectively. Those skills have been invaluable in both marketing and real estate.”
One of Diana’s greatest strengths is her ability to balance multiple roles—style influencer, entrepreneur, investor, and interior decorator. “Balancing my various roles comes down to organization and efficiency,” she says. “I keep my calendar structured with hour-by-hour blocks. Planning ahead is key for me, whether it’s scheduling content, mapping out design projects, or coordinating travel content.”
Despite her packed schedule, she thrives in a fast-paced environment. “I’m a busy bee, always on the go, but I love it. Even when I feel tired, I don’t give up because I know I am living the life I once dreamed of. The excitement of creating, exploring, and building something meaningful keeps me motivated every day.”
Her travels have also played a significant role in shaping her aesthetic and approach to business. One particularly memorable experience was her visit to the Cartier Café in Dubai. “It was a dreamy space designed for their clients, and the ambiance and attention to detail left a lasting impression on me,” she recalls. “Experiencing such a thoughtfully curated environment inspired me to elevate my own creative projects, emphasising the importance of crafting immersive experiences that resonate deeply with my audience.”
Dubai, in particular, has had a strong influence on her. “The city’s blend of luxury and meticulous design inspires me to infuse the same level of sophistication and detail into everything I do—from my fashion content to my real estate projects.”
For aspiring influencers, Diana’s advice is simple but powerful: authenticity above all else. “In a space full of trends, staying true to yourself will set you apart,” she emphasises. “Find your unique voice and share what genuinely inspires you. Work with brands that align with your values and create content that feels true to you because authenticity is what makes a lasting impact.”
Staying updated with industry trends is another key factor in her success. “I stay updated by researching industry trends, following top publications, and engaging with professionals,” she explains. “In marketing, I analyse digital strategies and consumer behaviour, while in interior design, I draw inspiration from global architecture and evolving aesthetics. Staying curious and adaptable helps me bring fresh, innovative ideas to both fields.”
So what’s next for Diana Kimmay? “Personally, I’m focused on living a healthier lifestyle by switching to organic products and being more mindful of the ingredients in what I consume and use. My goal is to create a safer environment for my family,” she says.
Professionally, she has no plans of slowing down. “I want to continue growing in all aspects—expanding my work in marketing, real estate, and interior design while taking on new opportunities that push me to the next level.”
As she looks ahead, one thing is clear: Diana Kimmay is not just shaping trends—she’s shaping industries. With a keen eye for style, a strategic business mind, and an unwavering commitment to authenticity, she is redefining what it means to be an influencer in the modern world.
