You might be craving a hot cocoa that would keep you warm for the winter or a strong cup of eggnog which will help you kickstart the celebration, but I don’t think any of you would refuse if you get a nice chunky piece of a cookie alongside your drink to bite into.We are not sure how strong of a preference ‘Santa’ has when it comes to his cookie choices, but we are sure the following cookie recipes will impress him and will serve to be a treat that you would be loved whether its amongst the tiny tots looking for ‘dessert’ after promising to be nice and nothing naughty this Christmas or for adults who are just looking to catch a snack inbetween all of the festivities. Get ready to don your best apron, pull out your measuring cups, whisker and a big bag of sugar of course and whip up a storm in the kitchen.
Chocolate Chip Cookie
You can never go wrong with a timeless classic for Christmas and you can never go wrong if by timeless classic, you mean chocolate chip cookies. Some might like their cookie with chunks of chocolate in them, some when like to have their cookies doughy while others prefer it when their cookies have the perfect gooey center when they break into it. Some like it with a hot from the oven while others would prefer with a class of cold milk, whatever be it the case, you can’t deny that these coookies are truly a delight. Our recipe for the perfect chocolate chip cookie goes the following way.
Ingredients
1.Butter
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla
- Flour
- Salt
- Chocolate chips
Procedure
Step 1: Take flour in a bowl, then throw in sugar and a healthy amount of butter.
Note: Keep butter out from the fridge for atleast two hours or you can microwave it for 7 seconds before using it for baking
Step 2: Mix well with a beater
Step 3: Add eggs and vanilla and turn up the beater again.
Step 4: Finally, add chocolate chips to the mixture, amount of chips could be according to your preferences. If you want a gooey bite when you sink into a cookie, you might want to add a lot more of chocolate chips to your recipe.
Step 5: When the cookie dough is done, make sure the texture is clayey but not too sticky, if the the mixture is too dry or crumbly, it won’t stand when you try to roll it.
Step 6: When you have to portion your mixture, take a cookie scoop to get uniform portions of scoops on your baking tray.
Step 7: Put the tray in the freezer to chill overnight.
Step 8: Take out dough and put tray in to bake your cookies at 375 degreees for 8 to 10 minutes. Your cookies are ready.

Ginger bread cookies are one of the most famous Christmas cookies and if you’re someone who’s into crafts and baking, you have got the chance to mix two of those passions together for this recipe. Get ready to be creative, cause there’s a lot you can do when it comes to gingerbread and icing.
Ingredients
- Molasses
- Cinnamon
- Ginger
- Allspice
- Flour
- Eggs
- Brown sugar
Procedure
Step 1: Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix together with beater.
Step 2: Use scooper to make scoops of cookie dough
Step 3: Use plastic wrap to cover cookie dough balls and then flatten it out to make discs.
Step 4: Make sure dough is chilled for atleast 3 hours. Dough must be firm so that cookies hold when they are baked.
Step 5: When done chilling, use rolling pin to roll out chilled dough flat.

If you want your cookies to look festive, there no more festive looking cookies than tutti frutti cookies with their bright chunks of red and green which is just perfect for Christmas. If you find yourself stuck in monotony, surrounded by mugs of hot chocolate and boxes of chocolate angels, you could munch into a tutti frutti cookie instead. The pale yellow bake on these cookies are so inviting and always tempts one to dig in for just one more piece. You might not have a case of sweet tooth but if you are someone who appreciates unique flavours, you might end up liking this cookie which might seem regular when you bite into but surprises you suddenly with its spikes of sweetness coming from the Frutti Tutti. So, here is how this particular recipe goes
Ingredients
- Flour
- Butter
- Sugar
- Tutti Frutti
- Milk
Procedure
Step 1: Take powdered sugar and butter in a bowl
Step 2: Whisk mixture until it is light and fluffy
Step 3: Add milk to the mixture and mix
Step 4: Put dough onto a butter paper and roll until it resembles the shape of a log.
Step 5: Wrag log in butter paper and chill dough in freezer for one hour to make it firm.
Step 6: Take knife to slice through log to make discs.
Step 7: Meanwhile, preheat oven at 160 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Step 8: Place cookie dough on pan lined with butter sheet and put in oven.
Step 9: Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges turn golden brown.
Step 10: Take out from oven and put in freezer to cool down the cookies. Best to transfer them into an airtight container before putting them in the refrigerator.

Christmas brings to mind a hundred of delicacies which are the front of the dining table.
