This is an article with Bianca Eugenia Starbakova, a renowned model and influencer. In a recent interview with Nandini, she opened up about her journey till now. Here are some highlights of her interview
On being asked about her journey from solvakia to becoming a renewed model and influencer in Europe she expressed how her passion for fashion started she replied with ,ʼMy journey started a couple of years back when fashion designers and modeling scouts started to approach me on social media on also on streets with a modeling and photo modeling offers. Even I lived this offers I was so young and I had such a big respect for modeling. After some time I made a decision to start this amazing journey and became a model . My modeling career started with many photo shoot where I found passion and love for that. I started to post my photos on my social media and people loved my work. After my first photoshoot many fashion magazines around the world started to work with me.
When I saw my first cover page with my photo in fashion magazine from the Netherlands I was so happy, I received many congratulations and positive feedbacks. My influencer career went hand in hand with modeling. How the time went more and more people loved my work and also the were curious about bacstage of photoshoots and my daily life. After one year of hard working and being published in hundred’s fashion magazines around the world in more than 60 countries I received the title TOP photo model of Europe 2023 that made me proud of my work and also of people I am working with.
On being asked how her passion for modelling was formed she replied with,ʼ Since I was a little girl I loved fashion and beauty. Sometimes I used to walk in my room to pretend that I am a model doing my catwalk. In my early age I also loved to watch beauty pageants . I was dreaming that one day I will be like these beautiful women and that I will become Miss. Luckily my dream came true and I am very happy for that because I understand that not everybody has that opportunity to transform their dreams into reality.ʼ
On being asked what criteria she uses for choosing the brands and photographers she expressed the things which are important to her, she replied with,ʼ
I always choose my photographers and brands by my heart because I believe in first expresion. When I am choosing my photographers I always look at their portfolios where I can see their work. While I am choosing brands I also look for some informations about them. In what conditions is clothes made also if cosmetic is cruelty free . As a human and animal lover this is very important information for me.ʼ
On being asked what was the most memorable modelling experience for her she expressed,ʼI could talk about that for long time. But my most memorable modeling experience was in Paris . It was photo shooting in the Parisian streets and of course with iconic Eiffel tower. Even it was around 15 degrees and it was raining I was wearing just black dress while other people were wearing their jackets and coats. I was so cold but it was amazing experience because Paris is Paris. Also my favorite was from Turkey . This photoshoot was like a dream with pink flying dress. it was around 45 degree and sun was shinning I felt lika a fairy . I also enjoyed beautiful view at endless sea.ʼ
On being asked how she balances her modelling career with her influencer activities she expressed how she manages them and engages with her followers,ʼ
Social media goes hand in hand with modeling. My social media is about me and my life . So I always post my photos and modeling experiences. People can also see backstages from photoshoots, preparations for fashion shows and my daily life. They can learn a lot about me and my life too.ʼ
On being asked about her live for horse riding she expressed it by telling us about her love for nature she expressed,ʼI am strongly connected to the nature. It gives my piece . I am a big animal lover . If I could I would have hundreds animals at home. The best thing about horse riding is connection between me and horse. We have strong bond for years . Horses love unconditionally and their hearts are so pure. I also love to feel wind in my hair while we are running in the forest I feel so free and I always forget about the world . I am just enjoying moment with my horse , our connection , speed and wind in my hair.ʼ
On being asked about her medical College she expressed how it was a dream of hers and what was the motivation for her to go on this path , she replied,ʼBecome a doctor was my second dream . When I was 4 years old in kindergarten I said that one day I will become a doctor. I love to help people and I consider that the most important thing we have is life. I chooses to fight against diseases and save life. Bring people’s smile back everyday. Fight for their lives and also for their dreams too. I can not wait to start this meaningful journey with all my heart and energy.ʼ
On being asked how she felt at becoming miss aura she expressed how she felt,ʼ It is such a big honor and responsibility to represent my country in the world. I am very thankful for that opportunity. My way to Miss Aura International 2024 is amazing. I have met many kind and wonderful people from my country and also abroad . I am ready to do my best because I do not only represent myself but every single Slovak girl and woman. I am very happy that as Miss Aura Slovakia 2024 I am not only showing my beauty but I am also standing for my advocacy . I help young girls and women to reach their dreams through my foundation . Even many times their lives was hard and full of darkness I am showing them that you do not have to become another person to reach your dreams and to become successful. Also I am helping young girls to be educated because education is very need able these times and can open many doors full of opportunities
Asked about challenges she faced in her career and how she overcome them she expressed her feelings and also told about lessons she leaned, she replied,ʼ For many people modeling looks like something easy but the truth is that it is not. Sometimes my photoshoots last for 12 hours without break. In this time I can not eat or drink too much because of my make-up to do not ruin it. Also when you are posing for 12 hours you get a little bit tired but you must look fresh and full of energy at photos . It is all about training and experiences. Now it is absolutely normal to pose for hours. Also one big challenge were people around me because many of them started to be jealous of me and my career. At that point I was able to realise the meaning of true friendship and real people. Also I was supposed to master my catwalk too and now I can do many spins and walk with elegance and grace in 20 cm high heels.ʼ
On being asked what future projects or collaborations she was excited about she told,ʼI am most excited about final weeks of Miss Aura International in Turkey where I am going to meet all beautiful delegates from different countries around the world. Also I am very excited for my expansion with my foundation to other country . That I will be able to support girls and women not only in my country but also abroad. I am also very excited for my collaborations with fashion designers and brands wordlife. For now it is a little secret but more abot all will come soon on my social media.ʼ
Through her answers she shows how her journey started and hardships she faced. We saw how motivated and hardworking of a person she is about things she is passionate about.
