Being a ‘morning person’ is hard work

Most influential people in the world are morning persons but you cannot just set your alarm for 7:00 am in the morning and call yourself a morning person. It takes making a whole routine to wake up to the perfect morning and making the most of it. Here are some ways you can practice to become a morning person.

Keeping up a consistent sleeping schedule

It is really important that you go to bed early if you are looking to start the day early. It is necessary that you have at least seven hours of sleep. This habit must also be followed on weekends which are usually reserved for sleeping in. Afternoon and evening naps should also be restricted in order to keep up with your new sleep patterns.

Coffee only before lunch

Without context, this rule might seem ridiculous but what this means is that drinking coffee six hours before you go to bed can make it harder for you to fall asleep. Try to avoid more than 400 milligrams of caffeine per day. Ordering decaf is not an option as well. Being a morning person, you will also have to learn that coffee is a morning drink.

Develop rituals

It is good to develop a routine, both at night time and in the morning. When it comes to the night, it could be anything like taking a bath, reading a book, listening to music, etc. The mornings might need something a little more active, like a workout, a run, a cup of tea or even just a breath of fresh air from your window. If you do these things regularly and in order, it may develop into cues which will mentally prepare you to go to bed or rise when it’s time.

Eat Earlier

Speaking of habits in the night, having your dinner earlier also helps in getting you in bed earlier. It is good if you keep it a light dinner. This gives you time to have your dinner digested and your body will be at rest in time. You will be all ready for sleep by then.

Regular exercising helps

Healthy habits and early risers are sometimes complementary to each other, and what is more healthier than exercising. Exercise has proven to improve the quality of sleep.Researchers say that morning or evening exercises has made sleep cycles earlier by 30 minutes. So, exercising is indirectly beneficial if you want to wake up early.

Lighting Matters

Exposure to light has such a great effect that studies say that it can shift your internal body clock earlier. So go on and throw your curtains open for the bright natural light of the morning. We cannot vouch if any singing blue birds will enter your room too but surely, the morning light will work its effect on you.

These are some habits for a early bed time and following it religiously will give you more time in a day and you can spend this time in a better and more prosperous way.
